Thousands of young Māori and Pasifika performers are gathering tonight for the 30th anniversary of Otago Polyfest in New Zealand's South Island.
The week-long celebration of Pacific Culture is happening in Dunedin and will be packed with an array of performances from students ages 3-19 years old.
Around 144 schools and early childhood services are taking part as well as 4500 performers.
RNZ Pacific's Eleisha Foon spoke with the Festival Director Tanya Muagututi'a ahead of opening night.
