The late poet, writer and academic 'Epeli Hau'ofa has been awarded a posthumous honorary doctorate from the University of Auckland.
The Tongan Fijian Professor is widely regarded among Pasifika academics for his contributions to Pacific literature.
His works such as his novel - Tales of the Tikongs - are read as part of secondary school curriculums throughout the Pacific.
