There are 1650 people who are displaced after Friday's landslip in the remote Highlands of Enga Province.

The UN's International Organisation for Migration has been working with the PNG army to get humanitarian aid relief to those affected.

The UN previously estimated more than 2000 people were buried under 6-8 metres of car-sized boulders and dirt.

About 7,849 people from two communities have been affected.

Speaking with RNZ Pacific's Eleisha Foon, IOM PNG spokesperson Sehran Aktoprak says it's a challenging time for everyone affected and the death toll is still uncertain.
