The United Nations Development Programme, working with other international agencies including the European Union, is aiming to bring solar energy to communities across Papua New Guinea.

In a most recent case, through its EU-STREIT PNG Program in the Sepik region, it has lit up a sub-health centre at Ossima Village, revolutionising what can be achieved there.

RNZ Pacific's Don Wiseman spoke with the PNG Country Resident for UNDP, Nicholas Booth, who says this work is part of a much larger series of projects.
