Pacific leaders waiting on approval for New Cal mission

The Pacific Islands Forum Chair, Tonga Prime Minister Hu'akavameiliku Siaosi Sovaleni, is waiting for Paris to approve a Pacific mission to New Caledonia. 

It has been almost three months now since protests led to grave civil unrest in the French Pacific archipelago (13 May), in protest of a French Constitutional amendment.
