A musical celebration of Samoa's history and resilience will debut at the Princess Alexandra Hall - Royal Over Seas League in London next month.

Titled Samoana, the concert will showcase the essence of the Samoan culture and highlight Samoa's journey to independence following its colonial rule under Britain, Germany and New Zealand.

Led by award-winning Samoan baritone singer Benson Wilson, Samoana will feature other renowned Samoan opera singers who will perform a selection of classical songs from Germany, Māori waiata, folk songs and other special pieces.

Benson Wilson spoke with Pacific Waves host Susana Suisuiki.
