The problem of racism towards Pasifika within climate change

In New Zealand, youth climate change movement School Strike 4 Climate Auckland has declared itself as racist, and disbanded.

The organisation is responsible for protest marches that shut down the city's streets on several occasions.

The announcement came out of the blue - in it SS4C Auckland acknowledged being a "white-dominated" space and ignoring the voices and views of Pasifika, who disproportionately face the impacts of climate change.

But as our reporter Mariner Fagaiava-Muller investigates, Pasifika climate activists have been encountering racism for years.
