Fiji unions criticise govt's 'no jab, no job' directive

From Pacific Waves

Workers rights advocates and legal experts in Fiji have labelled the government's Covid-19 response as being "more of a fire brigade approach" and that it is not in control in the fight against the deadly virus.

This comes amid the prime minister's directive last week to get Fijian workers to vaccinate against the virus or face losing their jobs.

Fiji now has over 9-thousand covid-positive people in isolation with 58 deaths reported, 56 from this latest outbreak that started in April.
