Liz Garton
Liz Garton grew up in Oruru, in the Far North.
Originally a radio journalist and producer, Liz joined the RNZ Podcast team in 2018 has won numerous awards in Aotearoa and beyond, most recently for Conviction, the story of the Christchurch Civic Creche case. Recently, Liz became a team leader for RNZ Podcasts, which means she now oversees a number of RNZ podcasts as well as producing her own projects.
Liz says she loves helping people to tell their stories and bring New Zealand tales to life in audio.
In her spare time she says she’s a voracious reader of trashy books but has no time for reality TV.
