1:15 Kaikohe's Lawless Kids
The town of Kaikohe is demanding answers after mobs of youngsters took liquor from a bottle store and vandalised a petrol station on Friday night. Later, a group of youngsters were captured on CCTV, hurling rocks and trying to kick in the glass doors of the Mobil service station. The chair of the National Party's Kaikohe branch, Alan Price, says the issue comes down to increased drug use and a lack of police. And he told Morning Report the solution was to put corporal punishment back into schools.
Northland College principal, Jim Luders, discusses the issues facing Kaikohe.
1:25 Intimacy Rights for the Elderly
Our next guest is exploring issues of intimacy and sexuality of people living in aged-care facilities. And he says residents' rights and safety is at risk, because staff and families don't know how to deal with often complex situations. Mark Henrickson is associate professor from the School of Social Work at Massey University. He's finished a pilot study looking into intimacy issues and the elderly.
1:35 In Zone
At a time when the world has never seemed more divided, one man is trying to bring people together. And it's working. Chicago-born, Terrance Wallace, has enabled more than a hundred teens in New Zealand to create educational and personal success. A documentary, called In Zone, follows Terrance, who after coming to New Zealand on a holiday, was so stunned by news reports of Māori and Pasifika youth falling through the cracks he decided to do something about it. And now, he's taking the model he used in New Zealand, back to his home-town of Chicago. The project has a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds, and donations can be made here.

3:10 An Investigation of Compulsions
It happens to many of us, we start playing Candy Crush for fun and it turns into a compulsion.
We don't just want to play, we have to play. We can be compulsive about tidiness or checking our email. It's not an addiction. It's not OCD, it's compulsive behavior. But it's just a sensible reaction to a stressful world says science writer Sharon Begley. She examines the science behind behavior that borders on obsession in her new book, Can't Just Stop.: An Investigation of Compulsions.
