The ‘quiz’ is a long-standing part of NZ life. here have always been quizzes in our culture but not necessarily in a particularly structured way. We can see evidence of widespread, organised quizzes in early NZ newspapers.
Victoria University historian Grant Morris looks back on the quiz in New Zealand and how television gave it a boost.
