Judge Brett Kavanaugh is president Donald Trump's preferred candidate to fill a vacant seat on the US Supreme Court.
However his nomination is in jeopardy, after several women stepped forward to accuse him of sexually harrassing and assaulting him while at high school.
Judge Kavanaugh is currently testifying at a hearing - ostensibly to gauge his suitability for the Supreme Court role - before the US Senate.
