The Flora and Fauna of Little Barrier Island

The incredible work done to make Hauturu (Little Barrier Island) predator free and an internationally recognised conservation success has been laid out in a book. Hauturu: the history of, flora and fauna of Te Hauturu-o-Toi is a collection of accounts from over 30 scientists, researchers and photographers. Co-editor of the book, Lyn Wade explains the rich background to what is considered New Zealand's "ark".
