Welcoming communities programme gets the tick

In the Western Bay and Tauranga areas a Welcoming Communities Programme that has been piloted for the past two years and has just been given the tick of approval by Immigration New Zealand.

About 100 refugee support volunteers are needed in each new location including Blenheim, Timaru, Levin, Asbhurton and Masterton for three to six months. Karyn speaks with the mayor of Tauranga Tenby Powell about their success.
