Jazz musician and senior lecturer at the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington Rodger Fox is part of a new competition launched this week to encourage younger people to engage with jazz.
Launched on Wednesday night the Young Jazz Band-it competition has 18 thousand dollars worth of prizes for the winning Intermediate and secondary school hopefuls. Rodger talks to Jesse about the competition and his hopes of inspiring a new generation of jazz enthusiasts.
