City planning needs more focus on infrastructure in Auckland

There's been a lot of discussion around the Government's planned changes to housing rules in Auckland.

The changes would see higher-density housing, like apartments and townhouses, built across the city and closer to public transport, shops, and community services.

Former Auckland town planner and now private consultant Raj Maharjan says too much attention has been given to the loss of heritage homes, and not enough focus on the infrastructure.  He says some serious work needs to be done or the city will grind to a halt.
