For NZ Sports History today we're looking at the incredible record-setting win of the 1989 Japan Cup by Kiwi-bred horse Horlicks.
Back then the Japan Cup offered the world's largest cash prize and was one of the most prestigious races in the world.
Her win also highlighted the skill of her team - she was trained by Dave O'Sullivan and ridden by his son Lance O'Sullivan.
