Intercity is suspending its bus service between Nelson and Queenstown, which takes passengers up and down the Coast.
Before Covid buses ran daily, but once the pandemic hit the service was reduced to three days a week and relied on funding from the Ministry of Transport.
It's a hard pill to swallow for towns like Fox and Franz Josef which are desperate to get local business back on its feet.
