It's easy to find examples of how governments get things wrong. It's a little harder to understand why. Fixing the problems governments are asked to fix is not as easy as it looks says Dennis Grube, a professor in politics and public policy at Cambridge University. He's also a former speech writer in Canberra. He's seen the problems of governing from the inside and the outside. He seeks not to garner sympathy, but rather to enhance understanding about their failures and how they can do better. His new book is called Why Governments Get It Wrong: And How They Can Get It Right.
