Genesis and FRV Australia have announced they will spend around $70 million to develop a large solar panel site on the Canterbury Plains.
All going well the 90-hectare site will be home to about 80,000 solar panels, which should start generating electricity in 2024.
This will make it one of the largest solar generation sites in the country, so, is this a step in the right direction?
