Today, we pay tribute to singer-songwriter and founder of Dunedin rock band The Chills, Martin Phillipps who died unexpectedly yesterday, age 61.
The band's official website referred to him as having a "single-minded determination to take quality, original NZ-sounding, melodic rock music global". With him on some of those global missions was music journalist, and Martin's friend, Russell Brown.
