Our Changing World – The science behind dog welfare

From Afternoons, 3:35 pm today

We are a pet loving nation. An estimated one third of New Zealanders have at least one dog in their home. But are we taking care of them as well as we could?

Now on Our Changing World, Claire Concannon catches up with animal behaviour expert Dr Mia Cobb. She's currently doing a canine welfare science fellowship at the University of Melbourne but started her career working at the SPCA.

A woman with her blond hair tied back in a ponytail smiles as she takes a selfie with a brown and white speckled pointer. She is wearing a green patterned top. The dog has his tongue hanging out and is wearing a blue collar. There are trees in the background and a clear blue sky.
