Student Volunteer Army decend on the Catlins

From Afternoons, 1:25 pm today

This time last week residents in Dunedin and Southland were dealing with torrential rain which wreaked havoc on the region. Hundreds of people had to evacuate, fifty houses were red stickered, and a long clean up lies ahead.

A bright spot for residents though, has been the help of the Student Volunteer Army, who've been out and about
all week. Tomorrow, about 50 members are giving up their Saturday to help clean up a farm in the Catlins.

Otago Student Volunteer Army president Paige Bowman will be there and chats with Jesse.
