In the cemetery at St Mary's Cathedral in New Plymouth are the names of some of the city's founding fathers. Each stone, has a story to tell: children who died in epidemics in 1860, the man who fell into a vat of beer, new immigrants seeking their fortune in iron sands. But many of the gravestones are broken and in need of repair. John Pickering is a genealogist who is trying to raise money to save them.
