He grew up on a farm near Taihape and always wanted to be a cowboy, not an astronaut. Then he went to boarding school in Palmerston North interested in sport and physical education. Somewhere along the way his plans were derailed and he turned to that most noble of occupations - acting. It's as well he did, the last movie project he was involved in took a staggering 1.2 billion New Zealand dollars at the box office world wide. In The Hobbit he is the dwarf Nori, better known to us as Wellingtonian Jed Brophy.
