Aucklanders are being warned a weekend of extremely wet weather hasn't brought the city any closer to seeing the end of what is a severe drought.
Parts of the city got more than half a metre of rain over the weekend but the downpours have barely made a dent in the water storage lake levels.
WaterCare says a drop in overall water usage over the rainy weekend also reveals a concerning amount is being put to bad use.
