The heartbroken whānau of Pukekohe butcher Roy Green say they are relieved the government has loosened restrictions on tangihanga.
The young father and husband died suddenly on Sunday night, leaving a wife and two young children.
At the time, Covid-19 level 2 rules stipulated only 10 people would be allowed at his tangihanga, so family were facing the prospect of turning away close relatives.
His family sent a letter to Prime Minister last night urging for the rules to be relaxed. Rachel Thomas has the story.
