Greens' co-leader James Shaw has fronted up with a massive mea culpa over the Green School fiasco, but no solution.
One may be on the horizon though, with the school breaking its silence to tell RNZ it is open to much of the nearly $12 million it was promised being treated as a loan.
RNZ can also reveal one of the major reasons Treasury opposed the initial decision - the school has yet be fully registered.
