New Zealand's largest city and the site of the largest Covid-19 cluster will join the rest of the country in alert level 1 on Wednesday at 11:59pm.
The announcement by the Prime Minister in Christchurch today is music to the ears of Auckland businesses doing it tough.
But others think it would be better to keep some of the restrictions Aucklanders are already used to.
