Man accused of killing wife in stabbing claims memory loss

A man accused of killing his ex-wife with a hunting knife in broad daylight in West Auckland says he doesn't remember stabbing her to death.

Sixty-five-year-old Li Manchao is on trial in the High Court at Auckland after pleading not guilty to murdering Yang Zhimin and breaching a protection order.

It's the Crown's case Li planned and prepared to kill Yang after a bitter legal dispute.

Today the jury in the High Court in Auckland heard from Li himself, as he took the stand to give evidence in his own defence.
