Gumboots, shovels, wheelbarrows and tractors were out in force on the East Cape today as the community began mopping up from flooding over the weekend.
At least eight homes were flooded and large parts of a school were damaged in a downpour yesterday - with Tokomaru Bay bearing the brunt.
