Ellesse Andrews has stamped her mark as one of the world's elite cyclists, becoming the first NZ woman to clinch a track cycling medal since Sarah Ulmer in 2004.
The 21-year-old claimed silver in last night's kieran final - the first of two medals in a glorious night for New Zealand at the Tokyo velodrome.
She is still in disbelief, a day after the stunning result. Andrews said the emotions continued after the cameras stopped rolling and during a call to Mum and Dad back home.
And she's on a mission to add to her silver in the women's sprint.
