Police scour CCTV to find mum of baby left at Onehunga recycling facility

Police investigating the discovery of a baby girl's body at an Auckland recycling facility are scouring CCTV footage for the movement of around 100 trucks, to find out how she ended up there.

The baby's body was discovered on on Monday 16 August, alongside some clothes and a blue plastic bag.

Police have released images of those items as part of their investigation.

Detective Inspector Scott Beard told our reporter Nita Blake-Persen around a dozen people have passed on information, which is now being investigated.
