Labour and National have put their differences aside to slash red tape around housing density, with the aim of making it easier and cheaper to build new homes.
New rules will allow up to three, three-storey buildings on sites in the country's biggest cities, without a resource consent.
National's leader Judith Collins first reached out to the Labour Government in January, proposing they work together to mitigate the housing crisis.
