The latest National Party caucus reshuffle is looking like political snakes and ladders.
Some MPs have taken a big slide, and some have rocketed up the ranks. Former leader Judith Collins has gone from the number one, down to 19.
Only the top 20 in this new shadow cabinet are ranked. Up the career ladder are Chris Bishop and Erica Stanford - the party's immigration spokesperson rising 18 spots.
Other climbers are Simeon Brown and Matt Doocey. Former leader Simon Bridges had already scored finance and the number three spot. It's all about merit and matching people to their strengths, according to the party's newest leader Christopher Luxon.
