The future of 24 stolen dogs is up in the air as an animal welfare organisation refuses to hand them over, whilst police demand they're returned to the owner.
Animal charity HUHA alleges the dogs were taken from a puppy mill where they lived in cages or a barn and were suffering from chronic conditions including dislocated knees, periodontal disease, hydrocephalus and dwarfism.
And as Soumya Bhamidipati reports, it says its team members are so concerned about the ongoing wellbeing of the dogs, they would rather be arrested than return them to the breeder.
