Crisis meetings and investigations are continuing, after Middlemore ED's long wait times appear to have cost a life on Wednesday.
Counties Manukau District Health Board says patient presentations are up a full 17 percent on pre-Covid levels, in 2019.
That's an extra 400 patients a week, and still going up, while staff numbers are down. Katie Todd reports.
