A breakthrough for some migrant nurses who've been fighting to get on the fast-track to residency - but it's not exactly the breakthrough they were after.
New advice suggests some nurses may be able to skip the two-year-working requirement by applying through the separate Skilled Migrant category - which the government announced this week will soon reopen.
But nurses shouldn't celebrate too soon - with warnings that pathway could be sluggish and more expensive.
