A high court has heard of the harrowing quest Lauren Dickason and her husband went through to have the children she ended up killing.
Graham Dickason faced cross examination by his wife's legal team today via audio visual link from South Africa.
The defence suggested he did not fully appreciate the gravity of Mrs Dickason's mental health struggles.
The 42 year old woman has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity and infanticide to the murder of her two-year-old twin daughters Karla and Maya and their older sister.
Today it was revealed the couple tried to conceive for four years before Lauren miscarried a baby girl at 18 weeks in 2013.
It took 17 rounds of IVF and donor eggs for the couple to conceive their three daughters.
