Dunedin swimmer Erika Fairweather has entered the record books as the fifth ever woman to go sub four minutes in the 400 metre freestyle.
In a personal best time of 3:59.59 Fairweather claimed the bronze medal at the World Aquatics Championships in Japan today.
She finished on the podium with some big names in swimming including Australia's Ariane Titmus who set a world record time to win gold.
