New Zealand's joined its five eyes partners calling out Russia for malicious, sustained and politically targeted cyber attacks on the UK.
The United Kingdom's National Cyber Security Centre claims groups with strong links to Russia's Federal Security Services have targeted high profile individuals and entities; attempting to interfere in UK politics and democratic processes.
It includes phishing parliamentarians over the past 8 years, hacking and leaking sensitive trade and other documents, as well as targeting Universities, journalists, NGO's and government departments.
Aotearoa, the United States, Canada and Australia all threw their weight behind the UK government, condemning the actions of Russia.
