Govt told free lunches for schools resulted in healthier children

The government was told the free lunches for schools programme would have a "profound impact on wellbeing" before it decided to cut the scheme's funding earlier this year. The advice was revealed in budget documents released yesterday which also laid out how the Ka Ora Ka Ako scheme resulted in happier and healthier children.
