A road test of how people feel about New Zealand's health system is about to get underway. Patient Voice Aotearoa chairman Malcolm Mulholland is driving around the country urging people to sign a declaration the health system is in crisis and calling on the government to urgently address it. Buller residents signed the declaration at protest march last week. It's against a back drop of doctor shortages, blow outs in wait times for cancer treatment, specialist appointments and elective surgeries, controversaries over drug funding and now Dunedin Hospital budget trims.
