Trial of catch up maths lessons for Years 7 and 8 introduced

The government is spending $2 million on a trial of catch-up maths lessons for children in Years 7 and 8 next year. About two thousand students will take part in the programme which runs for the first two terms. It's all part of an effort to accelerate children's achievement as a new maths curriculum is introduced next year. Education correspondent John Gerritsen spoke to Lisa Owen.
