Worlds first dissection of rare species whale underway

The world's first dissection of a rare spade-toothed whale is underway in Dunedin after the adult male washed up south of the city in July. It's only the seventh time a spade-toothed whale has been documented worldwide. Te Runanga o Otakou has invited experts to examine the spade toothed whale this week in Mosgiel, forging a new way for science and culture to work hand in hand. Tess Brunton has more.
