FIFA names Saudi Arabia as hosts for 2034 Football World Cup

New Zealand's loss has been Saudi Arabia's gain after FIFA confirmed the men's Football World Cup would be heading back to the Middle East in 2034. Saudi Arabia were the sole bid for this tournament after a proposed joint bid between Australia and New Zealand was withdrawn last year and an Indonesian bid was also dropped.
