Shortland Street, Educators, Double Parked and The Adventures of Suzy Boon are just a few of the shows on screen you may recognise Kura Forrester from.
You’ll be used to laughing if you’ve seen the actor, writer, comedian and Billy T Award winner in action. But keep the tissues nearby for Forrester’s next performance on stage.
Massive Theatre Company’s Half of the Sky is a tale of three sisters, with a mix of love, loss and whanau dynamics. Forrester has worked numerous times with the dynamic Tamaki Makaurau theatre company since 2008. This return season of the work, written with BAFTA winning Lennie James, is in Rotorua 7 September and Auckland 12-16 September.
Kura drops into Culture 101 to talk about what she’s been watching and listening to when she’s not in rehearsal.
