Cook Islands tourism welcomes new Pasifika Air flights
He's got no flight attendants or even a plane to put them on but from June, mortgage entrepreneur turned airline boss Mike Pero will add another airline to the lonely skies between the Cook Islands and New Zealand. From next month, Pasifika Air will take bookings for three direct return flights a week between Wellington and Rarotonga and Christchurch and Rarotonga. Mike Pero, well known for his mortgage and real estate businesses, plans to relocate his family to the Cook Islands and says he has been overwhelmed with interest from investors. He is due to speak at a tourism conference in the Islands today.. so what impact will his airline make?
