Part of the government's easing of restrictions in Auckland announced yesterday is reopening early childhood education centres. From tomorrow young children will be able to go back to their ECE but must stick to bubbles of 10, while teachers have been told to get regular tests. The announcement was met with dismay by some in the sector, as they hadn't been forewarned that they'd have to reopen so soon. Nathan Rarere spoke with the acting chief executive of the Early Childhood Council, Sue Kurtovich.
