Bio-pic film "Whina" to be released in June 2022

A major new New Zealand film production about Dame Whina Cooper is due to be released in June. The film, Whina, tells the inspirational story of New Zealand's Te Whaea o Te Motu - Mother of the Nation - and her tumultuous journey to become one of Aotearoa's most important leaders. Nathan Rarere caught up with Tainui Stephens, who produced the film alongside Matthew Metcalf, and asked what prompted them to take on the project.
